Two Saginaw men arrested and charged after selling salt

ALPENA, Mich.— A drug deal gone wrong in Alpena results in two men being arrested and charged for a series of offenses . According to Michigan State Police, twenty-two year old John Harvey Gaddy and seventeen year old Duran Louis Lowe both of Saginaw came to the home of one of the victims to make a drug sell.

The two men sold the victims salt instead of crystal meth in the amount of $400. The victims then located Lowe and Gaddy which resulted in Gaddy pulling out a handgun and pointing it at the victims.

Lowe and Gaddy fled the scene and were then stopped by the Alpena County Sheriff’s Office on Werth Road. The two men were arrested and charged with one count felony assault with a dangerous weapon, one count larceny from a person and one count felony accessory after the fact.

Lowe and Gaddy are lodged at the Alpena County Jail.
