Two Northeast Michigan football teams will travel out of the region for week 4

Our Game of the Week consists of two teams that are currently (1–2) on the season so far. That game is Atlanta vs. Posen, both of these teams are trying to get to the .500 mark.

Last week, the Huskies just had a hard time with Mio as they lost by a score of 62–6 and for Posen they captured their first win of the season as they took down Onaway 40–20.

Thanks to Tyler Hipka who finished the night with 239 yards of rushing and four touchdowns.

Both of these teams can put up a lot of points on offense and are very confident that their recipe on both sides of the ball is going to put them at .500.

Two teams will be playing outside Northeast Michigan this weekend. The Oscoda Owls will travel to Ohio as they play against West Unity Hilltop on Friday.

For the first three games, the Owls have been lighting it up on both sides of the ball. The offense is currently averaging over 46 points a game and their defense is only allowing an average of six points.

Head Coach Mark Whitley says it will be a good test for the team and the trip will be a lot of fun.

Oscoda’s rivals, the Tawas Braves, will be heading down to Burton, Mich. They’ll be taking on Burton Bentley who is (2–1) on the season thus far as well as Tawas.

The Burton Bentley team can generate a lot of points on offense as they average over 25 points a game.

Tawas got off to a slow start where they lost to Alcona but were able put the pieces together in their last two games.

They defeated Rogers City and just this past week they took down Whittemore-Prescott by a score of 36–20. And whats been working for them is the run game led by sophomore running- back Lukas Herrick.

Herrick and the Braves will be looking for win number three this season, as kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
