Two firefighters hurt in fire at Clark’s Laundromat

Alpena, Mich. — Two members of the Alpena Fire Department were taken to the emergency room at Mid Michigan Alpena yesterday for injuries sustained while battling the flames.
According to Alpena City Fire Department, they are both doing okay and recovering. The department didn’t release details on the exact injuries.
The Alpena City Police Department issued a citation for a driver who drove over the supply hose line at the scene on 501 June St. Authorities want to remind drivers to avoid active fire scenes. Running over the hose could potentially cut off the water supply for firefighters.
The investigation into what caused the fire has been turned over to the fire marshall at this time.
