HURON COUNTY, Mich. — Five tornadoes struck Michigan over the weekend. The strongest one caused damage in Port Austin, about 60 miles northeast of Bay City.
The tornado uprooted trees, snapped limbs and damaged barns. It also significantly damaged six houses with three roofs completely detached. Two garages and one barn got completely destroyed.
The National Weather Service rated the tornado an EF–2 with winds up to 120 miles per hour. There were six injuries and no deaths reported.
