Tigers storm past Thunderbolts in doubleheader

HILLMAN, Mich. — After a slow start to begin the 2021 softball season, The Hillman Tigers’ bats went from dead to alive. Thursday, the Tigers kept their foot on the gas pedal, beating Mio (19-5, 27-17) in a doubleheader. The Tigers have now won their last four games.

In the past four games, Hillman averages 20.5 runs per contest. Hillman will look to bring the hot bats on Saturday, where they will be one of four teams that will be competing in the Hillman Softball Tournament. Oscoda, Rogers City, and Tawas are the other three teams in the tournament. First game begins at 9 a.m.
