Tigers season comes to a close

OSCODA, Mich. — The 2019 soccer season comes to a close for the Alcona Tigers as they lost in the District Semifinals to Calvary Baptist Academy by a score of 4-0. Despite giving up four goals, Aidan Wrobel finished with 12 saves for the Tigers.

Coming into this season, the Tigers didn’t have a clue on how their season was going to end up. They went from thinking they weren’t going to have enough players on their team, to winning the North Star League title.

“We lost a lot of seniors last year,” Wrobel said. “I knew we were going to have a good season. These players developed and just turned into good all around players.”

The Tigers finished with a (10-6-1) record.
