Three area schools crack the top 200 high schools in Michigan

U.S. News & World Report released their annual high school rankings for 2019, and a few area high schools made the top 200 schools in Michigan.

Tawas, Alpena, and Mio AuSable high schools all cracked the top 200. Tawas came in at the highest ranking from the area at 106 followed by Alpena at 172 and Mio AuSable at 180.

Schools are evaluated on a number of criteria including state assessment performance, and how well students are prepared for college.
