The Hillman Tigers are 11-0 after beating Rogers City 40-31

HILLMAN, MI – At this point it’s Hillman’s world and we’re all just living in it. The Tigers undefeated streak sits at 10–0 after their road win against the Oscoda Owls on Friday. The Hillman guys were back home with the chance to move to 11–0 with a win against Rogers City. The Hurons are coming off a win against the Posen Vikings, who sit right behind Hillman in the North Star League Little Dipper Conference.

Both teams played hard on defense leading to this game being low scoring early on. First for Hillman, Brady Firman moving the ball. He sends a great bounce pass to Trenton Taratuta, and Hillman’s leading scoring goes up and under for a nice layup.

Rogers City with a fast break now. Evan Fairbanks to Nik Tulgestka down low. He goes up but draws contact, there’s the foul and the bucket for the and-one

Now the Junior Caleb Hively down low in the post. He quickly goes up with a high shot, it’s off the backboard and in for two.

Landen Timm for Hillman with the ball. Fakes a pass then drives into the paint. Goes up against the bigger man but shows no fear taking the shot and making the difficult layup with contact.

Just five seconds left in the first half. Trenton Taratuta, 1 on 1 here. He tries to pull up from midrange, takes a few bounces at the buzzer and falls. Nice shot to head into the second half, Hillman with a four point lead.

Now Brady Firman with it again. He takes it himself all the way to the cup and fights for the layup. It’s up and through for two on that quick play.

Taratuta now sends it to Landen Timm who sends it back to firman. He takes a wide open three-pointer, and that one falls for Firman.

Rogers City keeping this game to a single digit deficit late. The Hurons passing it around until Nik Tulgestka tries a jumper in the corner from midrange, and Nik sinks the nice bucket.

While the Hurons kept it close, Hillman eventually pulled too far ahead as Landen Timm tries for a three of his own and sinks it to wrap this game up.

11 games up, 11 games down for the Tigers who now move to 11–0 on their seemingly endless undefeated streak with this win. Final score is 40–31.
