The Gorillas Take Home the Thunder Bay Cup
ALPENA, Mich. – Paddling a boat may not be so difficult, but try paddling a cardboard boat across the Thunder Bay River. Hundreds of people gathered around and watched all the participants compete in the 9th Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta Race.
“It’s a great family fun community event,” said Phil Hartmeyer. “It brings folks from all over the state to battle it out on the river in support of friends of the Thunder Bay National Sanctuary.
