Temperatures remain above normal through the weekend

High temperatures Wednesday heated up to 77 degrees in Alpena, 71 degrees in Detroit and 73 degrees in Traverse City, Mich. While temperatures will not reach values as warm Thursday, temperatures will still remain well above normal for early November.

The high of 77 degrees measured at Alpena airport set a new record for November 4! The old record was 76 degrees in 2015.

Thursday, highs will reach the lower to middle 60s. Afternoon highs will approach the upper 60s Friday and Saturday. Then high temperatures will be in the middle 60s Sunday and Monday. After that, the warm pattern will start to break down.

Thursday: Partly cloudy. Early-morning temperatures will be in the upper 40s. Temperatures will rise to the upper 50s in the late-morning. Afternoon highs will reach about 63 degrees. Evening temperatures will dip to the lower 50s/upper 40s.

Friday: Partly cloudy. Early-morning temperatures will cool to around 40 degrees. Late-morning temperatures will be in the lower/middle 50s. Afternoon highs will get up to 66 degrees. Evening temperatures will be in the middle 50s.

Saturday: Mostly sunny. Early-morning temperatures will be in the upper 40s. Late-morning temperatures will climb to the upper 50s. Afternoon temperatures will become quite warm, close to 67 degrees. Evening temperatures will be in the upper/middle 50s.
