Tawas and Alpena hockey fall in regional semifinal.

ALPENA, Mich. — Hockey regionals took place at Northern Lights Arena on Saturday. The area had two local teams in action as both Alpena and Tawas were looking to punch their ticket to the regional final.

Starting with Tawas who came into Saturday’s contest against Sault Ste. Marie on a two-game winning streak. The Braves kept the game within striking distance through the first they were only down two 3-1. But Tawas just could never get the lead below two and the Soo ran away with this game beating Tawas 7-4. The Braves end their second season at (4-22).

Moving on to the second game of the night between the Alpena Wildcats and the Gaylord Blue Devils. This game stayed scoreless till the second period where the Blue Devils scored twice. That was all the scoring in this game. As the Wildcats season comes to an end losing to Gaylord 2-0. Alpena finishes the season at (11-14-2).
