Summer reading program is available to area families

ALPENA, Mich.— As the Alpena County Public Library remains closed due to building renovations, the summer reading program is in full swing for book lovers. Families are invited to participate in the library’s imagine their story project.

Each age group is sectioned off with different hands on activities and reading lists for students and adults. There is no cost to participate and the program is available to all library cardholders.

Families can sign up as early as today and have a chance to receive a craft kit consisting of supplies and information for early sign up. The program is a seven week course and will begin June 28th.
