Sultry Weekend; High heat ends on Monday

It felt very comfortable outside with high temperatures that reached into the mid-70s today. The morning started with mostly cloudy skies, but by the late-afternoon more sunshine peeked through the clouds. The sunshine will continue tomorrow as temperatures continue to warm.

Skies will continue to clear tonight, although some patchy fog may develop after midnight lasting until tomorrow morning. By midday, more sunshine will brighten the skies tomorrow.


If you are getting an early start to your Saturday, temperatures will be around 64 degrees in the morning with some patchy fog. In the afternoon, temperatures will warm to a high of 88 degrees under mostly sunny skies. The warmth will continue into the evening with temperatures in the mid-70s.

A bright weekend is in store for beachgoers and avid boaters, afternoon temperatures will reach the lower 80s at the shoreline. Wind speeds will be approximately 10 knots, and waves will be low around 1-2 feet.

For Saturday, early-morning lows will settle in the upper 50s, then high temperatures will warm up to the upper 80s. Sunday will be the warmer day of the weekend with temperatures heating up to 90 degrees in the afternoon. It will feel sticky Sunday night to early Monday with low temperatures in the upper 60s. On Monday, a round of showers and thunderstorms along a cold front will put an end to the high heat.
