Student Leadership Commission makes it work at ACC

ALPENA, Mich.– Alpena Community College students can thank their Leadership Commission for free bowling next Friday.

The event is one of many that the Student Leadership Commission has pulled together since the school year began. Jess Haselhuhn, Communications Director for ACC, told WBKB that the Committee’s worked outside the box to develop events.

A previous event, for example, involved tie–dying fabric masks.

Haselhuhn said the student body is thankful for the commission’s work thus far.

“The students have definitely been really appreciative of, just, any activities we’ve been able to do this year. They’re definitely not the same or even as many as we would typically do [in other years], but I think, right now, everyone is just really optimistic and feeling positive about any events we’re able to do.”

Next Friday’s bowling night takes place at Thunder Bowl Lanes on State Street.

The event starts at 7 PM and is first come, first serve, with a maximum of 60 attendees.
