Small Girls Sell Lemonade For Walk & Remember 5k Run & To Honor Their ‘Nana’

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, and that’s just what little Gracelyn Gohlke and her sister Riley decided to do. In honor of the upcoming Hospice of Michigan’s Walk and Remember 5k run coming up, and in remembrance of their grandmother, Debbie Anschuetz, the two granddaughters of Cliff Anschuetz decided to raise funds for the event.

“I’m raising money for Hospice for Michigan and the walk, and for people who are sick, and for Nana,” Gohlke said.

Mrs. Debbie Anschuetz died 5 years ago of ALS, Anschuetz’s daughter; Jamie said Hospice of Michigan was there for their family when they needed them most.

“It was a really tough battle for her and for our family. We knew we needed help and we called Hospice and they came in and we call them our ‘Hospice Angels’ because they helped us through what was the toughest time in all of our lives. They not only helped my mom pass peacefully but they helped our family through the entire process,” Anschuetz-Gohlke said.

Jamie said participating in Walk and Remember is the perfect way for her family to help raise funds for the organization and continue to heal.

“Hospice was the perfect fit for us and the perfect way for us even heal through the grieving process of losing her. So we keep nana’s memory alive,” Anschuetz-Gohlke said.
