Slight decline for Michigan gas prices

ALPENA, MI. – You may have been avoiding the gas pump lately, but prices have taken a slight decline.

Michigan gas prices have declined three cents compared to last week. Drivers are now paying an average of three dollars and ninety three cents per gallon. This price is twenty four cents less than this time last month and one dollar and fourteen cents more than this time last year.

“One of the factors we have seen in the last couple of weeks is that the crude oil market has been very volatile. It has gone up and down over the last couple of weeks. That is one of the factors that have led to the price decline.” said AAA spokesperson, Adrienne Woodland.

Drivers are paying an average of fifty eight dollars for a full tank of regular unleaded gasoline. This is a seven dollar increase from when prices were at their highest last November.
