Shots fired at Alpena deputies on Thanksgiving
ALPENA, Mich.– The Alpena County Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve a felony warrant Thanksgiving morning.
They got a tip the suspect might have been hiding out in a trailer near a business on U.S. 23. After deputies got out of their cars, someone fired a shot at them, but missed.
Deputies secured the area and called the Michigan State Police Emergency Support Team for assistance.
The E.S.T. helped locate and arrest the suspect, who was actually in Alcona County.
The suspect, whose identity hasn’t been released, is currently being held in Alpena County Jail.
A woman who fled the trailer was stopped and detained, then later released.
Members of the Sheriff’s Office found a gun and narcotics in the trailer.
