Shipwreck Presentation Offers Historical & Scientific Dive into Vessels

Alpena- The National Thunder Bay Marine Sanctuary will be hosting a presentation about the two shipwrecks discovered off of Presque Isle in May.

Maritime Archaeologist John Bright will lead the presentation. He plans to discuss the technology, the process, and what is was like to be part of the crew in discovering the Choctaw and Ohio. Bright will also talk about the history of each vessel. The presentation will have time for a quick Q&A at the end.

Be sure to be at the Maritime Heritage Center by 6:30pm. The doors will open at 6:00pm. This event is free and open to the public.
