Second candidate to run for Alpena county prosecutor

ALPENA, Mich. – Today the second candidate running for Alpena county prosecutor filed her petition.

The filing deadline for the Alpena county prosecutor is Tuesday, April 21, but attorney, Denise Burke,   was ahead of the game as she filed earlier this afternoon.

The usual process for filing entails obtaining signatures from the public but because of   COVID–19, Denise opted against risking the health of the public and paid the one hundred and fifty dollar filing fee.

She shared that her 27-years experience in prosecution and defense work is one reason why she is a likely candidate.

But she went on to further explain why this role is important to her.
