Scams on social media about unemployment benefits
LANSING, Mich.–An alert was issued this morning by Attorney General Dana Nessel warning Michiganders about turning to social media for unemployment benefit assistance.
In a press release issued this morning, Nessel warned that using social media to assist claimants with unemployment benefits is likely a scam.
According to Nessel, there is no guarantee that answers on social media have been vetted and may not be accurate.
Providing information on these outlets could result in further delays or denial of benefits.
