The Salvation Army of Alpena received quite the surprise Friday night in the form several large donations.
According to a press release, Major Kevin Cedervall discovered five $100 bills wrapped together with a paperclip inside the red kettle at the Alpena K-Mart.
A short time later Captain Amy Cedervall found the exact same donation at the Wal-Mart Pharmacy kettle.
But the surprises didn’t stop there…
A volunteer bell ringer discovered five more $100 bills in a kettle located at Neiman’s Family Market, and another volunteer found five more inside of the Perch’s IGA red kettle.
Captain Cedervall said, “I just hope this person knows how much of a blessing they are to us.”
This year the Salvation Army is hoping to raise $169,000, and their mystery donor has surely inched them closer to their goal.
