Safety practices at local Walmart

ALPENA, Mich. – Staying 6-feet apart in public places has become a new normal.

For example the local Walmart here in Alpena has adjusted their entrance and exit to accommodate the safety guidelines on social distancing.

A company spokesperson also stated they are implementing other safety measures with guidance from the CDC such as installing sneeze guards, a barrier between customers and employees.

In a recent press conference, Gov Whitmer said although the social distancing guidelines are inconvenient, they do appear to be working and helping to flatten the curve of corona virus cases in the state of Michigan.
