Safety funding available for small businesses

ALPENA, Mich. –The State of Michigan has launched a grant program for small businesses in need of funding to help decrease the risk of COVID–19.

Over 8 million dollars in grant funding will go toward small businesses to purchase safety and health–related equipment to keep employees and customers safe.

Grants will provide small businesses matching funds of up to 10,000  dollars.

Funding can be used to purchase safety items like sneeze guards, face coverings, PPE and more.

Grant applications will be accepted Monday July 27 through Friday august 7 with awards given shortly thereafter.
