Phone Scam Targets Elderly
Pete Wallin states there is another elaborate scam plaguing our citizens and targeting the elderly. Help Find Bane
Volunteers have come together to offer a reward for the return of Bane, the canine state trooper, who has been missing since Saturday, Nov. 13 in Presque Isle County in northern Michigan. Bane is a 4-year-old black German shepherd who is trained in narcotics detection, tracking, article searches, LPOP, aggression, handler protection and crowd control. He was separated from his handler, trooper Jamie Bullis, after a successful tracking session last weekend. The search for Bane has been extensive over the last week and statewide interest has generated a "Find Bane" account to pay a monetary reward for the return of this K9 officer. Anyone who has located Bane or has information regarding his location is asked to contact the MSP Alpena post (989) 354-4101. "The main objective is to get this dog back," said Warren MacNeill, the volunteer in charge of the reward fund. "This reward might help spped up this process." --- Anyone who wishes to donate to the "Find Bane" Reward Fund, overseen by friends of Bane (not the Michigan State Police) may send donations to any Alcona Alpena Area Credit Union in account number XXXX522 in care of "Find Bane," or they may mail a donation to: Community Calendar
