Rogers City falls to Gaylord St. Mary in regional semis
ROGERS CITY, Mich. — The Rogers City Hurons baseball team played a hard-fought game in their regional semifinal match against Gaylord St. Mary. However, the Snowbirds pulled away in the fifth inning and never looked back. Rogers City’s baseball season comes to a close, losing 11-5 to the 19th ranked team in Division 4 on Wednesday.
The Hurons close out the 2021 season with a 16-20 overall record. Despite the loss, Rogers City had a season to remember. The Hurons captured their first district crown in six years, upsetting No. 3 Johannesburg-Lewiston 2-1 last Saturday. Gaylord St. Mary will play Norway in Pellston this Saturday for a regional title.
