Rogers City Community Theatre readies for first show

ROGERS  CITY, Mich.– Rogers City Community Theatre is almost ready to premiere its first show of 2021.

The group is producing the two–person show “Tuna Does Vegas.” The play follows a couple renewing their vows in Las Vegas, only for their hometown of Tuna, Texas to find out and all do the same thing. Actor Ed Perrault and Director Denise Perrault believe this blue–collar comedy will resonate with everyone.

“We all have that ‘Aunt Pearl’ in our family and that one friend who is over the top with their religion. It’s a very, very funny show.”

The crew is incredibly small— just two actors, a director, and a few people in the costume department. They can work together while keeping their distance, and they ask the audience to slow the spread, too.

“Our theatre’s really gone out of the way to make sure folks stay safe, with the way the seats have been taped and separated… Masks are available if you don’t have one.”

This will actually be Ed’s last show as an actor, and what a show to go out on. He’ll be making dozens of costume changes for about two hours.

The show runs from February 11 to February 14.
