Risk of pop-up thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon

Tuesday will start dry with some sunshine, then we’ll have a chance of pop-up thunderstorms during the afternoon. They should be fairly scattered and certainly won’t ruin the day. Highs will reach near 80 degrees to the lower 80s across Northeast Michigan.

For any outdoor plans, do them in the morning or later in the evening on Tuesday. Wednesday looks fine all day with mostly sunny skies. A few more clouds will roll in Thursday while temperatures get warmer. Friday looks dry heading into the afternoon, but we’ll have a chance of showers developing late Friday.

Tuesday: Some sunshine, then a risk of scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon. Early-morning lows will drop off to around 54 degrees. Afternoon highs will reach close to 81 degrees. Evening temperatures will go from the middle 70s to upper 60s.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, you’ll need to have sunscreen for any time spent outdoors. Predawn lows will head down to about 58 degrees. Afternoon highs will get up to near 83 degrees. Evening temperatures will be mainly in the 70s.

Thursday: Partly cloudy and a little warmer. Early-morning temperatures will begin with lows close to 61 degrees. Afternoon highs will warm up to about 85 degrees. Evening temperatures will be in the 70s.
