Rightfully Hers is on display at the Alcona County Library
ALPENA, Mich. — If you’re looking to view a piece of history, the Alcona County Library in Harrisville is hosting a pop up exhibition called Rightfully
Hers.
Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, the exhibit, Rightfully Hers, contains simple messages which explore the history of the amendment and its impact today.
The county library’s Director, Denise Bearre, explained why this exhibit has personal meaning for her.
The four–panel display describes the different phases of the struggle.
Bearre encourages the public to come and view the exhibit as she feels it is an enlightening experience.
The display will be at the library through August 31, and will be sent over to the Lincoln branch for the month of September.
