Relief is available for Michigan farms and agricultural processors

ALPENA, Mich –Michigan Strategic Fund together with other organizations announced that Michigan farms and agricultural processors will receive

economic assistance in the way of grants.

Michigan farms and agricultural processors will receive 15 million dollars to help mitigate risks of COVID–19.

Applicants must be ready to apply on July 15, as either a processor or a farm but not both.

According to Governor Whitmer, the food and agriculture industry has been hit hard by the COVID–19 virus.

Whitmer also said this investment will provide needed resources to ensure the safety of Michigan’s food production industry and workforce.
