Recycling your holiday wrapping paper

ALPENA, Mich. — Before you head to the dumpster with your wrapping paper from the holidays, there may be a more efficient way of getting rid of that waste.

The Alpena Resource Recovery Facility does accept wrapping paper drop-offs at their facility off of M-32 or at the nine recycling bins across Alpena. The facility ensures the materials are reused and discarded properly.

Any cardboard, tins, and other holiday items can be recycled too. A full list of recyclable items can be found at http://www.discovernortheastmichigan.org/alpenarecycling.asp.
