Rain returns for tonight as the cold front crosses through the state overnight. The rain will change over to freezing rain and snow by daybreak on Wednesday. Temperatures will be dropping from the 40s early in the evening into the 20s by sunrise, with little rebound expected during the daytime on Wednesday despite the clearing skies.
Dry times plan to stick around through Thursday night as high pressure slides through the Midwest. Unfortunately the Sunrise Side could be dealing with a double dosage of mixing precipitation with the 1st round on Friday and the 2nd round on Sunday. Temperatures throughout the end of the workweek continue to remain above average hinting better possibilities of rain compared to snow for the quick moving systems.
