Presque Isle Electric & Gas to close its office to the public until April 6

ONAWAY, Mich. — Presque Isle Electric & Gas Co-op announced today that it will close its office to the public at the end of business today, in response to the Coronavirus and on the advice of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

In a press release dated March 13, the company said, “our office will be closed to the public at least until Monday, April 6, as we are following the governor’s directive for school closures.”

During this period, the company is asking that customers contact them by telephone or online at www.pieg.com. PIE&G crews and office personnel will continue to serve its members 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as usual.  Other than the closure of their office, PIE&G said it does do not anticipate any interruptions to its interactions with their members.

Presque Isle Electric & Gas Co-op  members  who  lose  power  should contact  the company immediatley immediately at  (800)  423-6634  to  report  outages  or downed power lines.

Presque Isle Electric & Gas Co-op provides electric and natural gas service to approximately 40,000 member-owners in a nine county area of Northeast Michigan.
