Positve COVID-19 case at local elementary school

ALPENA, Mich. — District Health Department No.4  alerted Alpena Public Schools of a positive COVID–19 case at Ella White Elementary.

This has resulted in one kindergarten class directed to quarantine until November 25.  The health department is investigating and plans to notify any close contacts who need to quarantine or take other health measures.

Parents and community members are reminded to monitor themselves and their children for COVID–19 symptoms including fever, chills, or nausea.
