Posen girls and boys sweep Atlanta

ATLANTA, MI — The Atlanta Huskies hosted the Posen Vikings on Wednesday, and the red and white were red hot. Let ‘s start with the boys. Good ball movement by the Vikings helped open up guys inside the paint like Wyatt Romel and Sam Brunet, and then Jared Sharpe and Jeremy Misiak’s quickness and speed helped give Posen the 20-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Vikings took down the Huskies 77-32 and are now (4-3) overall. Posen hosts Hale on Thursday, January 10th for a North Star League-Little Dipper top matchup.

For the girls, free throws helped the Vikings get to an early lead in the first quarter, making up for 7 of their 24 points. Posen’s defense was too strong for Atlanta and the Vikings won 65-6. Up next, Posen (3-5) is on the road in Hale on Friday.
