Pool Seeks To Increase Rates
If you’re taking a dip at the Alpena County Plaza Pool, you may be expected to pay- despite membership.
Due to a lack of funding, the facility is seeking to increase its rates. In addition to annual membership fees, members will also be expected to pay for each visit. If finalized by the full board of County Commissioners, seniors and children will pay $1.00 per visit, adults $2.00 per visit, and families $5.00 per visit. An annual non-membership fee of $10.00 will also be imposed.
A decision will be made later this month. If finalized by the full board, new rates will be applied beginning June 1st.
