Poets reflect on open mic Night
ALPENA, Mich. — On Saturday, the Alpena Poetics Lab wrapped up its first session with an open mic night.
Co–founders Mitchel Dipzinski and Dominique Witten said they made the Poetics Lab to help people explore language, as well as their own identities.
The open mic night, in which participants read the poems they’ve written during the week, was broadcast on Facebook Live.
Witten, Dipzinski, and two of the poets joined us to reflect on the evening.
