High temperatures today reached 80 degrees in Alpena, 79 degrees in Traverse City and 72 degrees in Houghton. Winds out of the northwest will bring cooler temperatures to our area tomorrow.
High temperatures will reach the middle to upper 70s Thursdy afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees on Friday. Temperatures will become warmer Saturday, getting into the lower or middle 80s. Highs will be near 80 degrees Sunday. Then a cold front will move through Northern Michigan, providing colder temperatures early next week.
Thursday: Partly cloudy and cool, winds from the northwest around 10 mph. Predawn temperatures will start in the middle 50s. Temperatures will rise to the upper 60s around 10 a.m. Afternoon highs will be close to 77 degrees. Early evening temperatures will be in the lower 70s.
Friday: Mostly sunny. Early-morning temperatures will be in the upper 50s. Late-morning temperatures will be close to 70 degrees. Afternoon highs will be around 79 degrees. Early-evening temperatures will be in the lower to middle 70s.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, slightly warmer. Early-morning temperatures will be in the upper 50s. Temperatures will rise to about 70 degrees in the late-morning. Afternoon highs will get close to 83 degrees. Early-evening temperatures will be in the middle 70s.
