Friday Pied Piper School honored a few students for their Students of the Week program.
Focusing on the word, “Soar,” the school recognized some of its students who have demonstrated characters of being successful, organized, active and respectful.
Principal Scott Reynolds said honoring students helps improve their behavior.
“We identify some target behaviors that we like our students to be recognized for and those fit under the acronym of ‘soar. ‘So ‘s’ would stand for being successful, ‘o’ organized, ‘a’ active and ‘r’ respectful. And while all of our students are…like you said it’s an honor to be here to work with them and they’re very successful in achieving those goals…we really want to focus for our own sake to highlight more of the successes of student behavior but also to reinforce those behaviors that are desired with them as well,” Reynolds explained.
Students are nominated weekly….and honored once a month.
The lucky students this month were Steven Wymore, Eli Arlt, and Noah Wirgau.
