ALPENA, Mich. — Today’s pets are Hide–a–Way, Old Tom, Smokey, and Woody.

Our first pet today is Hide–a–Way. She’s feeling much more comfortable around people since we last checked in on her, even if her expression doesn’t show it. She doesn’t seek out petting, but she will tolerate it. Does hide–a–way like being picked up? We’re not quite sure.

Next up is a gentleman named Old Tom. They don’t call him that for nothing. The vet estimates this new arrival is between 10 and 17 years old. Tom needs special food for his bad kidney, but that doesn’t stop him from being a big–time cuddler.

Now say hello to two brothers: Smokey and Woody. These two have nearly identical patterns – including socks on their back paws. But you can tell them apart based on their colors.

Smokey is the grey one and he’s an energetic explorer. He’s also the one who usually initiates chases.

Woody’s fur is black and he has a white stripe on his nose. He’s also very curious and explores things from every angle.

You can learn more about adoption on the Huron Humane Society website.
