Petoskey hands Alpena first BNC loss of the season
ALPENA, MI — The undefeated Alpena Wildcats hosted the Petoskey Northen for the green and white’s second Big North Conference game of the season. The Northmen finished the season (9-1) in the conference last season while the Wildcats finished (0-10), so this was a big test.
Petoskey started off hot taking the 21-13 lead at the end of the first quarter with the help of 6-foot-4 senior Nathaniel Spadafore draining three 3-pointers. The Northmen stayed one step ahead the entire way and handed the Wildcats their firs loss of the season 57-52.
Alpena is now (5-1) overall and (1-1) in the BNC. Up next, the Wildcats host Cadillac on Friday.
