Senator Gary Peters and a high ranking Air Force official will be visiting the Wurtsmith Air Force Base next week to talk about recent updates on PFAs contamination clean–up in the area.
Assistant secretary of the Air Force installations, environment and energy John Henderson will travel with Senator Peters to Oscoda next Wednesday, April 24. The visit includes a public event where residents can learn more about the remediation process of PFAs in the area. The two will also meet with local residents who have been affected by contamination.
The meeting coincides with the next Restoration Advisory Board Meeting at the Oscoda Community Center. It will begin at 5:30 p.m.
