Performance Locker Zombie Survival Challenge

With fall in full swing and Halloween just a few days away plenty of events will be taking place throughout the area.

But, perhaps the most unique event will be the Performance Lockers Running Dead Survival Challenge.

The annual Performance Locker event will be taking place this Friday at 6:30 P.M. at Mich–e–ke–wis Park to help celebrate all things Halloween in Northeast Michigan.

According to Performance Locker Owner Casey Stutzmen the challenge provides people of all athletic ability a fun and creative way to get out an be active.

An obstacle course is set up throughout Mich–e–ke–wis park, and participants have to avoid the dozens of zombies roaming the area.

For many people fall signifies an end to most outdoor fitness activities, but Stutzman says that doesn’t have to be the case…

“A lot of times, before Memorial Day and after Labor day you see a huge drop–off in outdoor activity and I don’t think it has to be. Fall’s a beautiful time to get outside. You can do active stuff; you just have to dress accordingly. It’s a lot of fun. Again, the leaves are falling, it’s spooky, it’s chilly, it’s a cool time to be outside, and enjoying the outdoors if you will.”

If you’re interested in taking part in the challenge there is no registration or sign–up cost, just arrive at the Performance Locker sometime before 6:30 P.M. on Friday – And while the event is free, any donations made will go towards the Mich–e–ke–wis Park Improvement Fund.

Or, if you’d rather volunteer as one of the many zombie actors, send email to sam@performancelocker.com.
