Parallel 45 Books and Gifts hosts book signing for Michigan author
ALPENA, Mich. – With COVID restrictions lifted there are more event happening in Alpena, including a book signing for avid readers.
Parallel 45 Books and Gifts will hosts a meet and greet and signing for a Michigan author who has ties to the area.
Randi Rayl- Harvey, a Milford native is set to appear at Parallel 45 Books and Gifts Friday June 25.
She just released her newest urban fantasy romance series, The Bone Gatherers.
Rayl- Harvey is also known for her dystopian / thriller novels. The Michigan native has been writing, hosting and entertaining for years.
She said her inspiration to her first book began right in the area.
“I was in Lincoln, Michigan. My family has a cabin just south of Alpena – kind of in the middle of nowhere, and I just thought to myself stuff goes down in the country,” said Ryal-Harvey. I thought if stuff really went down in the country I could hide here and that was kind of the idea for my first book.”
Rayl-Harvey said she’s ready to get back out and meet people on her book tour.
“It’s going to be a fun time,” said Ryal-Harvey. “We’re finally getting back to normal so it’s just fun to be at a place where you’re seeing other human beings you are not related to, not cooped up in the house, so I’m excited.
The book signing is Friday June 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Parallel 45 Books and Gifts on North 2ndAvenue in Alpena.
