Oscoda woman receives vaccine
OSCODA, Mich.– An Oscoda woman received the Johnson and Johnson vaccine Friday.
Carla Campbell is a stylist and former owner of Salon 121 in Oscoda.
She received her vaccination from the Oscoda Rite–Aid, which was providing shots on a first–come, first–serve basis.
Campbell says she went right to work after her shot, and that her guests felt more relaxed.
“I am especially surprised since I got it. Just in the last two days, telling my guests that I’ve been vaccinated, how much more at ease they are. That’s what’s amazing.”
Salons and barber shops took a hard hit when COVID restrictions first took effect.
State officials announced Friday that all Michiganders over 16 can receive vaccinations after April 5.
