Oscoda volleyball’s undefeated season continues

Lauren Langley and the rest of the Oscoda Owls celebrate winning a point in the first set.

ALCONA — The Oscoda Owls are undefeated in volleyball. The team feels that it has a good chance to make districts and states this year with the way they’re playing.

Senior captain and middle hitter/blocker Lauren Langley believes that the key to their success has been teamwork. The team looks like it has great chemistry and put that on display against Alcona.

Langley led the way for the Owls with big hits in each set. She was also assisted by freshman Megan Myles, sophomore outside hitter Macy Kellstrom, and junior Kiah Holmes.

Oscoda’s talent is spread out among each grade level, which means they’ll have solid talent over the next 3 years at least.

Alcona’s Hailee Gordie and Brooke Pagels anchored the Tigers’ offense. The two middle hitters were also assisted by Reagen Eller and Lily Bibley.

Oscoda won the match 3 sets to 1: 25-14, 21-25, 25-18, and 25-12.
