OSCODA, MI – The Oscoda Owls had one of their graduating senior athletes commit to continue his athletic career in college. Anthony Ward, the Owls quarterback last season and a four year varsity wrestler will be heading to Olivet College to play football for the Comets.
Ward pictured here with his fellow Oscoda teammates accomplished a lot in his high school career with the Owls. He was all-league in football for offense and defense, was on Oscoda’s first District Championship team in 2020, and just this year in wrestling, took third place in Individual States at Ford Field. It was his fourth straight year qualifying for states.
This past year, Anthony helped lead the owls to a 6–3 record in football while leading the team in passing and rushing yards. Congratulations to Anthony Ward on signing with Olivet College to continue to play football.
