Oscoda, Hale combine for a cure
Oscoda and Hale volleyball programs combine for annual fundraiser.
OSCODA — In the fifth year of Oscoda’s Volley for a Cure game, the Owls raised over $12,000 dollars for the Seton Cancer Institute in Tawas. Over the last 5 years, Oscoda has donated over $60,000 as a result of this special game.
Both Oscoda and the Hale Eagles wore special pink uniforms for the game. The crowd also joined in as many spectators bought pink breast cancer awareness shirts for the game.
In addition to shirts and ticket sales, spectators could buy tickets for 50/50 cash prizes, gift boxes, and other promotional items.
The Owls won the game 3 sets to 1 as they prepare for the start of districts.
