Onaway High School Holds Mock Interview for Graduating Seniors

Students at Onaway High School will be interview ready for the upcoming summer. The graduating students took part in a mock interview session last week.

Over 23 local business representatives conducted mock interviews with the students overlooking their resumes, cover letters and applications.

Administrative Assistant, Yolanda Romel said the mock interviews help prepare the students for their upcoming summer interviews as well as future career goals.

“It does prepare them for the future and upcoming interviews. The more that anyone practices for interviews, the better they are, and the more calm and relaxed they are during the interview process. This may only be a summer job, but the more interview experience you have the better you have for your career at the end of your college preparation or later in life when you want a actually career, you’ll be better prepared for that while doing these smaller interviews for a summer internship, or job,” Romel said.

Some of the questions asked by students during the mock interview including how to end interviews, vacation, and time off. There are 43 seniors graduating from Onaway High School this year.

Michigan Works plans to old another mock interview with Rogers City High School, Posen Community Schools.
