Ninja classes a hit at APlex
ALPENA, Mich.– The next round of ninja classes kicks off this week.
This Alpena Gymnastics program for kids five years and older has been a hit.
Students learn a number of gymnastic skills to maneuver and tumble their way through unique obstacle courses every week.
Coach Lindsay Donajkowski said the class draws a broader range of students than normal gymnastics.
“We wanted to be more inclusive to kids coming here. Some kids like to be in the gym, but they don’t necessarily like gymnastics. So this kind of gives them another option to do. And we’ve actually had a lot of success with some of our gymnasts joining the program too.”
The sessions run for six weeks, with a new course each time.
