ALPENA, Mich. — The ACC Lumberjacks softball team added another player to their 2020-2021 roster on Monday afternoon. Former Alpena Wildcat Nikita Cordes signed her letter of intent to play softball at the next level.
For Cordes, her journey up to this point has not been an easy one. She was forced to miss her freshman season after she tore her ACL. Cordes was able to work her way back to compete on both junior varsity and varsity teams over the next two seasons. She joins five of her former teammates on the roster for the upcoming season.
Cordes says she is looking forward to playing at the next level. “Its a great feeling to be able to play at the next level This has always been a dream on mine to play collegiately.”
Cordes is planning to study pre-physical therapy during her time at ACC.
